Video Card Memory

I have a lag problem with sims 3. Please help?
Hi! I've been having the same problem with lagging. I've been playing the Sims 3 game for more than a year now with no problems at all. I had Sims 3, Sims 3 pets, late night, ambitions, generations and high end loft stuff (all except for the base game and pets, I will admit I downloaded through a torrent ) However, I got Sims 3 seasons 3 days after it came out (real copy not torrent), played during the weekend and the next before it started lagging. It's a really bad lag, like even the main menu page lags and CAS so much that I can't even get through creating a family before I get frustrated and have to restart my game. I have uninstalled every game twice and only installed the games I bought. So I no longer have any torrent related games. My game is updated, I updated it when I got seasons. I really think I have tried everything. I checked my RAM which is 4096MG. I installed MasterController and Overwatch and I have used them but the issue still persist. I also have all my windows program closed except a security program for the computer. Also, I lowered all my settings in the game. I have also uninstalled/deleted a bunch of my custom content and currently have no mods (except mastercontroller and overwatch which I will install again). To be honest, I don?t even think mods are the problem because I had them long before I installed seasons and they gave me no issues. The only thing I haven?t done is to update or check my video card bcuz I?m not exactly sure how to do that. I really don?t know what to do, the game still lags badly and I?m beyond frustrated. I haven?t even had a chance to enjoy seasons much since I only played it twice before the game started lagging. Please help!! P.S. I am currently installing a NVidia update (sorry to sound dumb but I don?t even know what that is but It?s been mentioned in a lot of forms relating to Sims 3 lagging). Do you think this will help my game function better? Edit: i just check my video card memory. it says total available graphic memory: 1919MB. Ddedicated Video Memory: 256MB. System Video Memory: 64MB. Shared System Memory: 1599MB. i really hope someone can help me.
